Friends

My friends are so great. All the way back to 8th grade, we were quite a group. But there are the core five of us that still hang out. Melanie, Amy, Beth, Mike, and Myself. Today we went out to lunch (half-day at school). We don't talk everyday like we did 4 years ago, but we can still go to Bennigans for Kangaroo Friends Day, stay there for two hours, and have a blast. My friends are so great.

Last Semester of High School

Well, I'm sitting at work with nothing to do. They are in the conference room so maybe when they come out I'll have something to do. It can't take too long though. I have American Idol and West Wing tonight! (I know, make fun of me. Please do. It would make me feel a lot better).

So on white days, I only switch one class. I switch from Environmental Science to World Lit. Ashley Murray and Jeremey are in my class so at least I know some people. It's not a bad class but we're already taking a quiz tomorrow, which I totally forgot about until just now. Whoops.

Blue day had three changes. Second period I now have Computer Apps. They only person I really know is Colleen Calhoun from Pre-Cal but I sit very far from her (C-H, see how that works). I think the class might be boring though. Well, actually, today I was hoping the monitor would explode in my face just so it would all be over (okay, so I'm dramatic). That's not a good indication. 3rd Period is wonderful Government which doesn't seem all that bad. I have Kyle, Kaitlyn, Toni, D, Jessica Gower, Nikki Carlton, and Jen in my class. It should be interesting. And, with B lunch I now have it with Mike, Amy, Melanie, and Beth. Just like 8th grade. Oh the memories. Then on to fourth period anatomy. It seems kind of hard but Ms. Hoban seems alright. Not the greatest but not even close to the worst. I have Anita and Kate Howe in that class so I'm all set there. Today dragged though.

Then I went home and got stamps for work to come in and see Ashley sitting here putting on stamps that she didn't have. Oh well, Paul paid me back so I guess it was no big deal. I know how much of a dork I am, but the Schererville Post Office was so cool. I can't explain why, it is just neat.

So, this Saturday I am going to see All Shook Up at the Cadillac Palace in Chicago. I am so excited. It's the first play I've ever gotten my family to (besides Scooby-Doo Live in Stagefright). Hopefully this will inspire them to see more. Plus, it's Elvis music so who wouldn't like that, especially our family who are Elvis nuts. Anyway, that is all that is going on now. They came out of the conference room with nothing for me to do so I'm going to leave. Ooh, Pam likes American Idol too! (Pam is one of the agents that works with the Hoffmans, shes #2 behind Paul & Joann.) Now I can talk about it at work and people won't give me weird looks or have no idea what I'm talking about. I'm pretty sure I'll still get the weird looks, but I can handle that.

BPA

Today I had BPA District competition and I am very pleased with the results. I got 8th place in IT Concepts (up from 10th last year), 1st place in Fundamentals of HTML, 1st place in Administrative Support Concepts, and 1st place in Presentation Management Individual. Granted there was only one other person in presentation management. However, I went over the 10 minute max by 5.5 minutes. So, at least I know mine was good and she didn't take more off for that than she could of. She even said, (loose quote ahead) "I was going to stop you but it was interesting so I let you keep going." My wireless mouse didn't work which threw me off a little bit too. All in all, a very good BPA District. Now I have to concentrate on winning State so I can go to California for Nationals.

I Love Our School

So today was full of good quotes. Two acctually. First, Lindsay and I were walking from Pre-Cal to SRT and she pointed out the poster next to the bathrooms in Upper-E. It has a stick figure which is named Billy (I figured that out because there was an arrow above his head that said "Billy") and below it, it had the following phrase: "Billy doesn't bully. We like Billy." That made my morning.

Then, on the way from Environment Science, Hilary, Kristen, and I were wakling behind Una and Ross who are always all over each other, which does get really annoying. Ross did something stupid (didn't see that one coming) and almost tripped over Una, at which point Hilary says "Trip, fall, and die!" She had this horrible spite in her voice too. Kristen and I laughed for a good 2 or 3 minutes. Good times. I'm going to miss that class. Well, not so much that class, as Hilary and Kristen.

Cake with no knife? Are they insane?

So I'm sitting here at work and realizing I'm hungry. I go to the snack room since there is always food in there. Not to my surprise, there is a cake sitting on the counter. This seems exciting, but there are no knives or plates to be found. Now, I could eat cake without a plate and just use a napkin. No big deal. But eat cake without a knife? How can one do that? I'm going to have to leave a note on the office bulletin board (if we had one).

Simple Plan Really Has Great Music

Another day is going by
I'm thinking about you all the time
But you're out there
And I'm here waiting

And I wrote this letter in my head
Cuz so many things were left unsaid
But now you're gone
And I can't think straight

This could be the one last chance to make you understand
And I just can't let you leave me once again

I'd do anything
Just to hold you in my arms
To try to make you laugh
Cuz somehow I can't put you in the past
I'd do anything
Just to fall asleep with you
Will you remember me?
Cuz I knowI won't forget you

I close my eyes
And all I see is you
I close my eyes
I try to sleep
I can't forget you
And I'd do anything for you

I'd do anything
Just to hold you in my arms
To try to make you laugh
Cuz somehow I can't put you in the past
I'd do anything
Just to fall asleep with you
Will you remember me?
Cuz I knowI won't forget you
