Cedar Point & Senior Year

So, we went to Cedar Point last weekend with Counterpoints and Trebs. We both did very well and had a lot of fun. I love Cedar Point (it's like my favorite place on earth!). It was still equally awesome. I'll admit, I didn't see Mr. Johnsen as a roller coaster person, but he definitely went on Top Thrill Dragster. That amazed me. Melanie and I kept switching groups and eventually ended up being our own group. That was awesome. We didn't get to go on Millennium Force though. The line was closed and we needed some pass thing. The lady was a jerk anyway. The hotel was fun. The bus ride wasn't bad. Everybody was complaining but after a 25+hour trip to Florida, 6 hours to Ohio was nothing. I slept most of the way anyway so it was all good.

Today is the last Monday of high school ever. It's also the last full week of high school. I am so excited. I'm ready to leave. Well, since I'm in SRT and not supposed to be on the internet anyway, I'm going to go. Adios.

New Family Members

My Aunt Elizabeth called today to see when my graduation was. I didn't know I had an Aunt Elizabeth.

My Freshman Cast

Again, I am so proud of my freshman show cast. It was so exciting to see a lot of them at the ITS meeting today after school. I was hoping Shaina and I gave them a good enough experience to come back. I think the theatre is in good hands.

Pet Peeve #1

In a move to enlighten all of my friends, I am going to start listing my pet peeves here on my blog. This way, you will all know what to avoid doing near me :). Be prepared for more because I have a lot of pet peeves.

One of my pet peeves is when people spell tonight as tonite. Tonite is some stuff mixed together that will explode. Tonight is refering to the evening of the same day. My goodness.

Freshmen Shows

So, the Freshman show is all over and I had a blast. My cast (Matt, Amber, Sam, Elly, Greg, Diana and Blake) did an awesome job. They are sometimes hard on themselves, but we only had one month to get a show together and they took initiative and got lines memorized, blocking memorized, and intonation/facials memorized a lot quicker than Shaina or I expected. We never even had to tell them to memorize lines! It was so much fun even when we weren't practicing. Whether it was Matt threatening to make Blake sterile or everybody playing hackey sack (which they did a lot of), everybody got along and, hopefully, had a blast. They also got Shaina and I a gift on closing night, which I thought was awesome since neither of us expected it (btw, the cookies are completely gone and were awesome). It was an awesome experience and now I can see why the Neth's are so proud of theatre. It is such an awesome feeling to see your cast do well and be proud of themselves.

Recognize This?

Recognize this?

It's Six Flags Great America. It's kinnda neat to see it from above. However, what I liked was the service road going through the middle of it. I am a big geek and love to watch those shows on the Discovery Channel that show how theme parks, major attractions, and so on operate day in and day out. I remember hearing the vehicles aren't allowed on the pedestrian walkways of SFGA but that they could get to anywhere in the park because of the service road. This is also why SFGA is layed out in a circle. You can think I'm a huge dork, but at least I found it interesting.

Too Early To Tell Time

This morning, I jump out of bed after looking at my alarm clock. I thought it said 6:40. That meant I only had 15 minutes to shower and eat breakfast and get to Toni's house. After I take the fastest shower of my life, I open the door to tell my mom to make me a bagel so I can eat it in the car and realize that she's not downstairs yet, which is weird since she's usually downstairs by 6:45 every morning. Looking at the clock, it's only 5:50, I'm an hour ahead of my usual morning. I'm going to go take a nap on the couch.

Turning Over A New Leaf

It's time for me to get rid of the old and start new. I am talking AIM Screen name and e-mail address of course. I need something new and exciting. Something me. My dudeman address is from 6th grade and has been getting tons of SPAM lately (while watching Cirque du Soleil I gathered 208 messages in my Bulk Mail folder). Granted Yahoo is good at filtering junk mail, some still gets through and that's just too many messages for 1 hour.

And then my screen name. I hate giving it out to people. It needs to change and be something I won't mind telling people. There was a story behind it, back in the day, but I don't remember it at all anymore and it probably wasn't a great story anyway.

My only thoughts so far have been purduesam09 - I'm going to Purdue, my name is Sam, and I graduate from there in 2009. Let me know if you have any ideas, I need them.

What Am I?

I Never Thought I Would See This

Well, you were probably expecting some big event to happen that I'm talking about. It's not, but I found it interesting just the same. Indiana finally voted to institute Daylight Savings Time. Finally, Indianapolis catches up with the other 47 states who observe DST. Now, you may say that it's not a big deal, we've always observed DST. Yes, that's true. It won't affect us up here at all. However, if you are going away to college in Indiana, you'll be on the same time as home. To me, it's kind of ridiculous that, right now, it's 9:07 and only 8:07 at school, which is only 1.5 hours away. The rest of Indiana will get their first taste of what we've been doing all out lives on April 2, 2006.
